A booking engine returns the first valid itinerary it finds. That is not the same as the cheapest one, the most comfortable one, or the one that will still work when your first train runs 40 minutes late.

Search engines sell 12-minute cross-platform transfers that fail in practice. We build buffers that survive a normal delay.

If booking direct is cheaper for your specific trip, we say so. Repeat callers are the whole business model.

Comparison reflects our experience of commonly used consumer rail search tools and may not describe every product in the market. We charge a service fee; a booking engine generally does not. Our position is that on complex itineraries the fee is repaid many times over, and that on simple ones you should book direct.
We are not a carrier, and we say so everywhere
Skyward Bookings is a trading name of AGENCY 54, LLC, an independent travel agency. We are not Amtrak, VIA Rail, Eurostar, National Rail or any train operating company, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
That independence is the point. We have no incentive to steer you toward one operator, and on routes served by several carriers we compare all of them rather than defaulting to the one that pays us.
